Mid-Am District Referee-in-Chief
Hello! Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Liliana who is 8 years old and trying out with our club for next season. Liliana wants to be a goalie but the commitment of the gear for a position she's just starting to learn was a deterrent. I spoke to her parents about the goalie gear we have available to members of our club thanks to the generosity of the Roger Sharrer award we received from Midam last year. They met me at the rink yesterday and my son who's an 11-year goalie and I had a great time helping Liliana find gear that fit her, and my son taught her a few tricks for getting used to all that gear and breaking it in. We can't thank you enough. Here is a picture of Liliana with some new gear to get her started! She is the 3rd child this year that we have been able to outfit as a goalie and help grow the game. This is such a great benefit to our young players and our club. Thanks so much!
