Dear Prospective Pilot Program,

Thank you for your interest in the Put the Biscuit in the Net Program.  This program is designed to expose Girl Scouts in your area to the wonderful sport of girls’ ice hockey.  First piloted in Western Pennsylvania in April of 2004, over 129 Scouts ages 5-19 set blade on the ice and experienced the coolest game on earth.

I have enclosed a sample copy of the Participant’s Manual and Administrator’s Manual.  A DVD is also enclosed, which can be shown to your Scout and local ice hockey programs.

After you have made contact with your local Girl Scout Council and have decided to set up a program, please contact my office and I will work with your USA Hockey Girls’/Women’s District Representative to help you get the program going the “Girls Scout way”.  We say “Girl Scout way” as this is not another Learn to Play hockey program, but an experience in which girls are exposed to our sport.  From this exposure, we hope that the participants will choose your local program to continue to play hockey.  If you need a Girl Scout Council contact for your area, please contact me and I can provide that information.

The PBN Program and USA Hockey will provide the following materials for approved pilots:

Please review the enclosed materials and contact me about getting your program started.  Please do not hesitate to call or e-mail me with questions.  Thank you for helping to Put the Biscuit in the Net!

Regards,

Yevet Anderson
